This blog thing is not worth it. I wanna shut it down…but wordpress does not allow that. For the last post I will post a music video (just like on my first post) that I am really into lately. It is Darkest Nights by As I Lay Dying…one of my fave bands. I am into some hardcore and metal rock lately…especially songs with some good lyrics.
For so long I have felt alone
Content to live with unrest
Longing faded into countless nights
That buried my weary heart
But You brought an end
To this dead hour
And meaning to a calloused life
Held in Your arms
But too far from my heart
These thoughts will carry me
Through The darkest nights
While Your eyes rest in…
(While Your eyes rest in mine)
I remember the way You looked at me
And the way You drew me close
With one deep sigh
Scattering pieces of my restless mind
Forgetting all that we
We have left behind
These thoughts will carry me
Through The darkest nights
While Your eyes rest in…
These thoughts will carry me
Through The darkest nights
While Your eyes rest in…
Finally out of Basic training… back to school and good ole Raleigh, NC. I now regret joining the Army (for a number of reasons). I live with Joe and Rail (Kazaks…I call him “Railroad Tracks”).
Flunked two of my classes from last semester, so now I am taking them again. I have a feeling that my advisor is not really on my side, but more for the department. I also hate ROTC. They’re the reason that I got suckered into the Army. Also, I am not sure whether I wanna be an officer or not.
Anyways, I got a lot of things to take care of. A lot of things.
Fantastic Day. Just bonding with good ol’ Gracians. I didn’t go back to Durham because I didn’t have money for gas. This is like the first Holy Weekend with my family. Today, George D. and I went to tour around Raleigh Downtown. We went around Fayetteville St. Walked around Capitol Building. Went inside the museum of natural science (and realized the NC General Assembly was right beside it). At Fayetteville St., I saw the big Wachovia Building, ate at Port City Java, passed by the tiny Bank of America Bldg, and went inside Hanover Tower (the tallest building in Raleigh).
Then, me, Kim, Richard, Roy/Jason, Josh B., Tony, got together at the Buck Jones Place for some Magic The Gathering. After that, I went back home to find Richard with Peter while Joe have some more visitors. I found myself joining in their game of Super Mario 3.
Holy Saturday
Not much…just hanging out with Vanessa and Joe. I cooked sinigang last night.
Easter Sunday
Today…not much. Everyone is gone to their family and stuff. I’m all by myself stuffing my face!
This week has been a slow week in terms of my academics and my walk with God. Also, I’ve been sleeping too much. Like yesterday, I slept for 13 hours all in all! But now, I have sat back, relaxed, eat some ice cream, and watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Watching it reminded me of how cool it was. Zang Ziyi is really hot! hehehehe
Anyways, I decided to make another category, movie. I haven’t been to the theaters lately, though. I’m so busy…I hate it. I wish I decided long time ago that I shouldn’t go to college. What a drag!
Oh yeah, me and Joe talked about this today, but we’re thinking of going to the beach sometime before the semester ends. It came up to me when today seemed to be sunny and there is no school tomorrow.
Went canoeing with Richard, Joe, Susan P. and Vanessa at Lake Johnson. It was fun. Great weather, sunny and windy. Ducks and geese were round about. In the words of Richard, “we should do this more often.”
Oh yeah, I heard new of ate Ruth’s wedding. It was awesome. More about it in multiply.com. Also, I’ve been scouting for an apartment for next year. Turns out Rob will be my roommate, despite how I wanted Jeff to be my roommie. Tomorrow will be FTX –> oh boy!
3.12.2008 — NC State’s Founder’s Day
Didn’t really do anything special for that occassion. I didn’t even know it was Founder’s Day until I went to the brickyard.
Currently Listening- Ghost of a Fallen Age: Rumors of a Secret War — Irrefutable Evidence For A Skeptic; The Cancer That Devours My Dreams And Takes Dominion Over My Nightmare
I AM EXCITED. Tomorrow, I’ll be taken to North Raleigh so that I can be sworn in to the NC National Guards =] (after the physical and the paperwork). It’s a day I’ve been praying for…and it’s COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, lab today was sweet. I got 4/4 out of 5 pts in Land Nav…first time ever by myself. Oh, and I’ve learned to be more tolerant and how to take a joke so i don’t hate anyone there anymore (after looking at my previous post). hehehe…
APFT is next wednesday… Not sure if I improved, but I’ve been working out
Me to MAJ Fetherston: “I’ll be part of the family.”
Anyways, I thought about putting entertainment as a category since it’s huge for me. then, I decided to just start with music. so there you go. Right now…
Currently Listening to: blessthefall — His Last Walk — Guys like you make us look bad; Rise Up; Higinia
I still feel bitter and sour from yesterday and thursday. I keep thinking whether I am taking the right path in the army.
thursday: land nav sucks. i only found 2 out of 5. i should have plotted start point and checkpoints first. then head to the checkpoints and plan my routes there.
friday: pt sucks. I was like the last or 2nd to the last guy in my group. need to be faster and stronger….though to busy to workout.
there is this guy in Bravo Co. who I f****ing hate. His name starts with a J, and he is some punk*ss, arrogant, no-good, d**kface, moth**f****er. I’ve been tolerating him for months,
Weird phone calls. Late at night, I had a quick call from Tita Cynthia. I emphasize “quick”. It was like as if she is trying to dodge me or whatever. Then, a call from my sister…basically it went like: “…How you doing?…You didn’t tell me…go out tomorrow…chai’s near duke…ECU has a good PA course…politics…dad…”
Then, I called dad (thanks to tita for reminding me at it was his birthday). Long talk we had.
going to sleep now. bad day at rotc. I was a no go for land nav, and some ppl picked on me (the usual me would have stored hatred to the, but i fought that urge vigorously).
